What does it cost to let ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude vote on a question?
Short answer
With Kirat, one council decision cost $0.02–$0.15 in API fees in our measurements, depending on effort tier and input size, and took 8 seconds to 3 minutes. You pay OpenAI and Google directly under your own accounts. Kirat itself is a one-time purchase with no fee per use.

What stops a runaway bill
The budget guard reserves the worst-case cost before every call and blocks calls that could exceed your daily budget. It is best-effort, so also set spending limits at OpenAI and Google. In Claude Code cloud sessions the daily budget counts per session; there the provider limits are your real ceiling.
Where the numbers come from
From production runs, measured in August 2026 against the live APIs from a single EU container. All documented product-decision sessions together cost under $0.70. Your numbers will differ with model mix, prompt size and provider pricing.
