How can I check an AI answer when I can't tell whether it is right?
Short answer
Put the same question to models from different vendors, independently, so that none sees another's answer, and compare their positions and reasons. Agreement raises your confidence; a split tells you the question needs your judgment. Kirat does this inside Claude: ChatGPT and Gemini answer independently, Claude adds its own position, all three vote, and the dissent stays on the record.
Facts at a glance
- Independence
- No model sees another's answer before taking its position
- Diversity
- Models from three vendors: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google
- Limit
- At most two rounds, so nobody is talked into agreement
- Confidence values
- Each model's own self-report, not a measured probability
What a cross-check cannot do
Three models can be wrong together, and a majority is not proof. A council shows you where models agree and where they split, with the reasons; the decision stays yours. For questions with one checkable answer, check the source instead.
Doing it by hand
Ask each model in a separate chat, without showing it the other answers, and compare. That works for a handful of decisions a month. Kirat is for people who do it often enough that copying answers between chats costs more than $149.
